"In the past, the Magha Puja was never performed, the ceremony has just been practiced during the reign of my Great Great Grandfather King  Mongkut ( King Rama IV ) from the famous movie THE KING & I. 

Having realized the significance of this day, King Rama IV ordered the royal Magha Puja
Ceremony to be performed throughout the kingdom.
